Michigan Legal Help
The Michigan Legal Help website was created to help individuals with legal problems, who are not represented by an attorney. Articles are available to assist with understanding a specific area of the law, along with toolkits to assist with self-representation. The site covers the areas of family law, protection from abuse, housing, consumer protection issues and setting aside a criminal conviction (expungement). Information about finding an attorney, community services and the courts is also included.

Michigan Online Legal Resource Center
The State Bar Committee on Libraries and Publications provides links to self-help resources from the Michigan State Bar Association website. Help topics include consumer protection law, criminal law, debt relief, elder law, family law, immigration law, landlord/tenant law and decedent estates.

Michigan Supreme Court
The Michigan Courts Self-Help Center site has been designed to help find legal assistance and learn about Michigan law.

State Appellate Defender Office (SADO)
This website is designed to provide information to families and friends of incarcerated individuals.

The Michigan Legislature provides links to many helpful publications including titles such as a citizen’s guide to state government, services for seniors, tenants, landlords and the Constitution of Michigan.
