Friend of the Court

The Friend of the Court is the statutorily created enforcement and investigative unit of the Family Division of Circuit Court. It is responsible for making recommendations regarding child custody, support and parenting time. The office also assists with the enforcement of court orders in these areas. The Friend of the Court is appointed by the Chief Judge. The staff of the Friend of the Court are Circuit Court employees.
